lights flicker and clicking noise on door close
I have a 2004 RX8 and I've recently noticed that when I close either door the interior lights flicker and there is a strange clicking noise. Has anyone else experienced this and can maybe tell me how to fix it? Annoying.

I have experienced this.
unfortunately I cannot offer much help, this problem would always come and go.
I have had a new battery installed within the last 6-8 months and if I recall correctly this problem hasn't come back since then.
it's a strange one, passenger door lock would also lock itself when it happened.

Sounds like a poor battery connection or battery not delivering constant voltage. Things that click are usually relays, which will do that if they're not getting stable current.
A free thing to try before spending money: clean off the battery terminals and their clips with a wire brush, and make sure they're firmly attached. Could be that simple. If it's not that, have the battery tested and go over all the grounding points, make sure they're clean and firmly attached.

I put a brand new battery on mine. This happens when the door is closed and will drain the battery.
Mine has corrosion on the dash panel harness that connects to the main wiring harness.
When the dealership opened the harness, it broke.
They no longer make these, so I'll have to get it from a junkyard or ebay.
Then I'll have to trace out the issue. Mine was caused by a leaky cracked front window from the previous owner.
The leds above the radio don't work, the radio doesn't work, but the ac and heat does. Also, the gps doesn't work.
This is probably going to cost an arm and a leg to fix.
I'll let you know what the auto electricians have to say about it.

The next issue i am having is the door lights are not coming on when the door is open. I changed all the fuses and still same issue.
