A little help would be appreciated

2008, 6 speed, 32xxx miles, mazdaspeed intake.

I was driving and downshifted coming into a red light and engine stalled. Pulled of into a side street and checked battery connection. It had been loose a couple of days prior. It was on fine. I tried starting it but it didn't want to. It cranked but did turn over. I tried again and it turned over. I drove it home. Idle was jumpy and it seemed like it wanted to die. It also popped under acceleration. Luckily, I wasn't too far from home. I began searching. But I'm running out of patience and searching over my phone is very difficult, mainly because my phone sucks. I digress.
Things I've done/checked...
cat-fine
Sparkplugs-changed
Oil and oil filter-changed
Air filter- cleaned
ESPS- cleaned
Fluids- checked
ECU- reset

After doing all that the cel stopped flashing and just stayed on and it no longer pops under acceleration. Checked the code and it was just one and it was the p0113 code. I cleaned the maf using maf cleaner, but still nothing.
It still isn't turning on immediately and a complete loss of power and won't go over 4k rpms and it smells like unburnt gas.
So do I need a new maf? Ignition coils? Engine? Unicorn blood?
Weather sidenote- it was like a week of duststorms and when i checked my airfilter the sleeve was barely hanging on.
Thank you in advance for your help and sorry for starting a new thread. I did a lot of searching and all my conclusions have been made by searching. Just running short on patience and money.

Might be time for a compression test but before you go that route try and vacuum test your motor at idle while it's hot and replace the coils. Sometimes low vacuum can be signs of a motor on it's way out. My motor just failed and it was only showing a vacuum of 14-15. But, when ignition coils fail, the car can behave that way as well.

My two previous motors also began stalling before a compression test verified they were toast. Either way the dealer will likely want to replace the coils before compression testing anyway. Sometimes they cover them under warranty, sometimes not.

If it smells like unburnt gas then that makes me think ignition failure. I know you replaced the plugs but when was the last time you did coils and wires?

Thanks for the replies guys. I was thinking of the compression test but no code came up for a misfire or anything. Just the one for iat. But would the coils come up on the scan? I'm still under warranty I just need my car so I don't want it just sitting at the garage if its something I can fix cheaper and sooner

Yes? All I asked was a simple question jesus.

Even you said coils could be a possibility in your post so what's wrong with mine...

Do you have an aftermarket CAI? Is the MAF screws firmly into it's location. Are the electrical connections to the MAF plugged in firmly?

The p0113 code that you got relates to a bad MAF sensor. So, there is a problem with the way your present sensor is mounted, seated or connected. Or, it is just plain bad.

He said he cleaned the MAF already and has never changed his coils.

Might also check to make sure that the screen(s) in the intake tube are in the correct position.

Ok so I just went to go recheck the maf and took it off and put it back on. I tried turning it on and it turned on. I let it warm up and as it was idling I was checking the engine to see if I see anything odd. All seemed ok I checked the exhaust for any smoke and no smoke. The unburnt gas smell is gone but I put my hand close to the exhaust tip to see if it was flowing smoothly. It wasn't. It would basically puff out, putter? Which ever works better lol... its like its coughing. No exhaust then a large amount of air. Cat? But when I checked it everything seemed intact and there wasn't any rattling.

If your under warranty just let the dealer check it out, if they say coils, ask for coil test results before paying for new coils (unless they cover them at no charge). If it is your MAF, etc. it should be covered. Also don't let them BS you about the intake, it is a Mazda part. My buddy had issues with his MS CAI and they tried telling him it wasn't covered.

The exhaust pulse in normal rotary behavior. I would driv eit around a bit and just see how it goes. If issues arise, go to the dealer.

I'm thinking I'm just going to take it to the dealer. I have the supreme, platinum, diamond plated, omg, super Allah package that says it covers everything but its not from mazda its from a warranty company and I don't want to take it to the dealership I got her from because that's an hour highway time and I don't have the money for that $400 tow
