Looking for Oregon backup to get at a coolant leak
So I've been noticing a steady drop in coolant level lately. The bottle and overflow show no signs, but looking under the front bumper I can see some moist spots beneath the radiator.
I recently moved to Eugene, OR and have not scoped out the local dealership yet--Kiefer Mazda anyone? I'm about due for an oil change and will be doing just that, probably over the next week. I love this place, but have already run into a fair share of individuals and establishments that are shady as ****. I am not expecting 5-star treatment, but will let this visit serve as a test of their shadiness. Maybe they can at least pin-point the leak for me... but in all honesty I would rather connect with someone nearby with DIY experience in this area so I can actually learn something first-hand.
I'll be scoping out parts from Mazmart in anticipation of having to simply replace it all(radiator, hoses, bottle/cap), just figured I would get this up and hope some Oregon eyes land on it in the meantime.
Prost!

We cannot stereotype all dealers as bad and dishonest. Some are, but some may be better than a "qualified" shade tree rotary expert.
Why not take a look yourself at the water pump to see if there is any seepage, it is not difficult to remove the engine cover and look.
Best of luck getting it taken care of, since rotaries are not tolerant to over heating.
