loss of power, car stalling at stop

My 04 is experienceing major power loss, mostly in 2nd and top end. I just changed the plugs and coils today, took it for a test run and same problem. Engine light is on .the only code is shows it crank position sensor. Car is also stalling at stop and will only roll start. Please help?? Could this just because sensor???

Someone says "I have a cough", and coughs, do you doubt them?

Your car says "My crank sensor is bad", then stalls, why doubt it?

Hard to understand people these days...

Sure, it could be other issues. But, if you're uninterested in listening to your car, how can we trust you'll listen to us?

This should have been in the "DUMB question thread" instead of being a thread itself!

Hi guys, I got a rx8 PZ uk spec, couple of days ago on the way to work my car felt sluggish going round a roundabout, after I turned the engine light came on and it just cut off on me, I couldn't get the car going again, emergency came and started the car but it was noisy and doesn't seem right, code was misfiring, tow it to garage, changed the plugs and seems fine, drove it home fine, next morning after driving about 1/4 mile, engine light on again and car sluggish, drove back home, car flooded, will get the coils change and see what happens, any of u know what's happening? Thanks

The engine would not "cut off" with only a misfire, there should have been additional code(s). I don't want to search when the PZ models came out; but the on going questions you will get from RX8Soldier are: what year, how many miles, when were the coils and wires changed, have you cleaned the ESS and/or the MAF, and what did the CEL read this time?

The car is 06, 67k on the clock, I had it for 9 months, with only oil change i have done, so I'm not sure when the coils, plug were last changed, I'm getting the coils changed as we speak, the code came back was 1 of the coils were at fault, I'm getting all 4 change now, kinda worrying, hope nothing major!
