This may seem obvious to some.

Today I was doing some work on my car and I noticed that there is a hose that runs from the intake to just below the oil cap. It connects to where you put the oil in just under the cap. It's cracked off where it goes into the intake. Can anyone tell me what this hose is for and how serious it is. I am obviously going to get it fixed but I just don't want to drive around to much if it could cause a major problem

Also, several of the hoses that connect to the accordion thing between the air filter box and the actual intake are connected to these plastic things. That's what broke on me. Do the hoses just slide off of those or what? There aren't any clamps or anything and they connect to the intake with some weird plastic ****.

I'm not sure which exact hose you are referring to, but It sounds like it is used to route oil vapors through the intake and burn them in the engine. That one shouldn't cause a problem.
Only hoses that are under pressure require clamps. Those that are under vacuum or just normal air pressure will be slip-on.
