Milky Oil??
Hey guys I just bought a 2004 Mazda RX8 Automatic with 40,000miles and I went to check my oil level and the oil dip stick is really really milky and has white buildup on it... That really scares me does anyone know why ? Doesn't this usually mean their is antifreeze getting into the coolant?
Thanks for all of your help

It's condensation in your oil...the 04's had a breather setup that allowed more condensation in cooler weather..they changed it in 05+ I think.
It is worse when the car is driven stop and go ..and never gets up to temperature
It's not really a big deal functionally...if you take your car out for a good drive a lot of it will go away...
You can also get a catch can for the oil vent line..and that will help too

I think in the interest of trying to save you from being labeled a troll....or lazy...or worse....
You should look around the forum...and read the stickied threads at least to get some basic info
The oil thing is a big controversy
I use 0-40 full synthetic in min......but to be safe..you should use 5-20 or 5-30 conventional oil like Mazda suggests
