Exclamation Missing Vacuum Line! Picks Attached - Help

I brought my 8 down to a local performance shop in town to diagnose my lack of power problems (the water pump is getting replaced but that's besides the point). He noticed that there was a cut vacuum line as shown in the pictures. I never noticed this before since I had the car.

Does anyone know where this vacuum line goes to? Can you take a picture of this line on your car and where it goes? I need some help here because I have no clue. He said that a 8 came in around a week prior with the same issue but his line just fell off but they can't remember where it got connected to. They replaced it and it fixed a bunch of issues. Thanks.

If that is pointing to what I think its pointing to ...
It's the Baro sensor

That's the way it should be ... so it can read the outside barometric pressure.

I might consider a different mechanic if I was you.
He can't remember where connects to because it doesn't connect to anything lol

Get a compression test done

Alright. Possibly confusion on their part. Thanks for the quick reply.

Mine as well add the problem I am having since this thread is already started...

This has happened a couple of times over the last month or so. Around town driving my car is fine. Full power throught all gears, no hesitation etc. I take it on the highway and ten minutes into the drive the thing boggs down going up slight inclines.

When I get off of the highway the car seems to get better. Better power etc. It still is a little sluggish, but not as bad. When I park the car and let it sit and cool down it returns to normal and everthing is fine.

The only conclusion I can come up with is (and I know) that my water pump has **** the bed. My engine heats up too much and it boggs down. I had all my coils, plugs and wires replaced about 15k or so ago. Perhaps one of the coils or plugs is shot causing this, but why would it only happen on the highway?

Compression wise, I am sure the engine is fine but I will do this check when I can just to be sure. He did mention that there was a TSB for a reflash in regards to loss of power and I am pretty sure my car has not been flashed for that. It's friggin annoying as hell and I just don't know what the problem is. No CEL's or anything either. I am about to light this bitch on fire and call it a day. I question everyday why I didn't buy another Bimmer instead of this maintenence hog.
