Motor bogging.

I have an 04 Rx8, And lately it has been losing power ban around higher rpms. Also at high rpms it makes a weird noise, It has just started happening and i don't understand it. When i used to give it throtle it would run smooth and powerful up to 7500 rpms, and sounded fine and smooth. Now it kinda has a rough sound any where over 6000.

The weather has been changing a lot, cause i live in texas and it is at the point that it wants to be cold and hot, and it has only been having these problems since i filled the tank back up and put a quart of oil in it due to it being a little low. I am not familiar with rotory's i jut know some things you need to know about it. Please help?

Thank you
Justin.

Also I forgot to add that there is no Check Engine light on.. The car has about 40k, and It used to warm up and stop it, but when it warms up it still does it.

Please help me out and let me know if you have any idea what's going on.

Thank you.

Please provide maintenance history.
Was the gas station one you normally use?
What oil did you add? Did you re-check the level?
Please get the code read and let us know. Was the CEL on before or after the fill-up and oil?

Well I never had an engine check light. I always used Shell Gas 93 octane and I have never got any other gas. I used the same oil I always use (Penzoil 10w 30), and the oil was right at the full mark after i added a quart. It stopped doing what it was doing for the time being. I started letting it warm up a little before I drove it and things like that. The weather here in Texas has been like a rollercoaster, do you think that could have been the problem? Cause I heard that weather messes with the motors a little. That is about all the information I have.
