MS Cold Air Intake

MS Cold Air Intake
Hey all,
Having issues with the Mazdaspeed CAI.
I keep getting the misfire CEL (my car CLEARLY bogs under mid throttle over 4k RPM), idle is terrible, but it sounds sexy.
Ive taken the screens out a couple times and tried them in different configurations.
I had the CEL and other info scanned by Dannobre, it said I was at 40% load at idle (not sure if normal or not) and 100% load around 7k rpm, AFRs are high (I burned 1/4 a tank in 61 kilometres)..
I don't have access to the exact numbers, but I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas?
I know Footman tried to help me for a little while, but the screens should be installed all right now that its been done a few times by a couple different people (myself and Dan)
Comments/Ideas?!

Trolling since 2004
The only time I have that problem is when the filter gets wet (on rainy days) or when the MAF gets dirty (happens periodically). Other than that I've never had such an issue out of my MS CAI. I've had it since 15k and I'm now at 82K.

It working fine with the stock airbox is strange and leads me away from the MAF sensor.
Did you remember to cap the VFAD nipple on the intake manifold?
And I read over your first post again and you mentioned that you changed the configuration of the screens.
The two screen couplers should be just before the MAF (screen coupler, then a short pipe, screen coupler, then the MAF tube).
At least this is how my AEM was configured.
I can't really see much else causing this (related to the intake swap).

It was plugged, no vacuum leaks.
I just meant I tried turning the screens around, removing one screen, etc, it's back to the standard config now.
I ran it thismorning with no bogging, however (I hadn't run it after putting the second screen back in last night), so I'm hoping all is good. Will reboot the ECU today.
