Mutiple engine codes!?!?!?

I just dropped a used engine and tranny into an auto rx-8 and I have engine light on with multiple codes. Anybody have access to or insight into what these codes specifically typically represent? Thanks!

Thanks - any idea what the B1601-FF and U2023-FF codes are?

The P0336-FF says its an electronic shaft position sensor circuit range/performance problem on 1 ccm - Should this keep me from driving it? Can someone describe where exactly this sensor is located? Thanks!

Sorry don't know those two

Problems I had with the eccentric shaft sensor

How I solved it: It needed cleaning. This link will take you to the technical manual... your one stop shop.

Okay so now I'm down to just P0031. I think from what I saw this is the front O2, which doesnt make sense because I have no cat and I'd think that would mean the rear one would be in question. Can some clarify please? Thanks!

P0031 Front HO2S heater control circuit low ON 2 HO2S heater ´
(See DTC P0031 )

Rx8 has 2 O2 sensors

The rear o2 sensor is basically just to monitor the cat performance and doesn't have an impact on the engines operation.

The front O2 sensor is a factory wide band sensor that is locate just a little ways ahead of the midpipe section.
On the series I Rx8 the top part of the sensor is positioned up so this makes it hard to see and remove. I'm told there is a special tool to remove it.

Front O2 sensor is commonly damaged in an engine replacement, it's delicate and exposed.

....and expensive.

If the 'heater low' CEL keeps reappearing, check the wiring especially the ground.
