my engine coolant light.

i was driving today about 15 miles and 13 of the 15 my engine coolant light stayed on. i drove on the way back and it done the same thing except the light went off a little earlier. right before on the way back i checked the coolant and it was ok but i added some more just in case. i dont know why its doing this but i live in central alabama its really hot here 95 with a heat index of 108 could that have anything to do with it?

What year is your car. If its a 04 or 05 good chance that your sensor is going bad. But first let your car sit overnight and check the coolant level in the morning and see if it is at the Full line or just above. I have an 04 and my coolant light goies on and off for no reason. Just waiting for my new oem coolant tank to come.

Mazda came out with new tank with updated sensor. Mazmart has them for a good price.
