The driver side roof pannel light doesn't work all of a sudden starting 2 days ago... i changed the bulbs on christmas day to red led's and the ones in the door also but for some reason the driver side LED isn't working i tried 3 diff bulbs in it all the controls work on the pannel sun roof included and also the passenger side light works too just the driver side i tried the bulb, obviously i tried the wires i looked for loose/ not grounded wires nothing that i can see any ideas?

 

take a multimeter to it and verify that you're getting power

 

you installed the bulbs in backwords? LEDs can only function one direction unlike regular bulbs.

 

I've had that problem also, what was wrong with mine wasn't the buld but the bulb holder for the map light. Inspect how you swist the plastic piece and you might have to adjust/bend the copper plates to come in contact with each other.

 

i noticed the driver side piece looks a little worn down so i guess who ever owned my car before me must have been changing the bulbs i wonder how i could fix it since its not bent and its just worn....


the only reason im quoting this one and not the other ones specifically is because the 2 bulbs were working after i replaced them, and then about a few days ago my driver side one was a little faded and then 2 days ago i noticed that the driver side one just stopped working. hmm


awkwardly enough with no real relevance to this thread either my car wouldn't start today... lol so i may have to take it to the dealership
