KS n00b question here about fuel line

Forgive me for stealing this picture.

The blue clip fuel line (I believe is the feed line) has a 2nd retaining clip, I was wondering what the purpose of that 2nd clip would be and why it's only on one line and not both?

Sorry for such a dumb question but google is taking me to all sorts of places unrelated to my questions lol

The blue one is an evap line, not a fuel line. If you're talking about the red retaining clip, both should have it. I believe that one is the actual retaining clip, and the larger one locks everything in place. If you're missing it, it probably fell out when someone disconnected the line.

Yah, those inner clips are obnoxious in their ability to wander off. I was lucky in that I had a spare LIM/UIM so I could cannibalize the inner clip off of that when I lost one.

If you lost it and you can't find a replacement, a fuel line quick connect for 5/16" steel line should work (I don't remember the diameter of the nylon section so you'll want to measure that before purchasing).
