I have attached some pictures of my K&N Typhoon Intake. This is how I bought the car, but recently I lost my gas pedal - Fully. Engine light came on, and finally after a while the car started running normally. I BELIEVE, but an NOT sure that the intake could be the issue of this (As another member said, this could mess up the MAF and IAT, therefore making it run rich, then cloggin the CAT, then fouling the plugs and wires, coils, etc.).
So I have included various pictures to show you - I am not sure if this intake may be the cause of my problems. I have checked the MAF and IAT and both were very dirty.
Any feedback is very appreciated - sorry if the quality of the pictures is not good, they were taken quickly with my phone.
EDIT: I realize the engine bay is quite dusty... I live on 7 miles of gravel unfortunately

Hrmm ... other than the filter not being the one that normally comes with the typhoon, i dont see anything else that is catching my eye, but I'm just bumping your thread since it's lost down on page 2
P.S. i believe if your intake was fuxored then you would have an insane idle which would then lead to the car just stalling out. Shouldn't affect your gas pedal.

Thats a V1 Typhoon intake. I believe that is the filter that came with that version. However I agree with what paimon.soror stated in that your idle would be greatly impacted if something was wrong with the intake. On a side note that is the dirtiest 8 engine I have ever seen in my life. Clean that up a little bit. Wow!

I've been having almost the exact same issue, but I have the AEM intake and no cat. I got an accessport and I'm currently awaiting a tune which I hope will resolve the problem and lean out my fuel trim. If your cat is blown it could really mess with the fuel trim and have you running really rich, which I believe could cause your issue. That being said, I am definitely, repeat definitely, no expert on this stuff, its just what I've sort of deducted from what little I know about this stuff and talking to people who know a whole lot more than me

Yes, the car was flooded then started. Ran normal for two weeks, then ine morning I just had no pedal - , but only when in gear. In nuetral it revved fine. After about 15 min of idleing, it began running normal again as has been since. Only thing is that the CEL is still on.
