more than likely its a communication error caused by the dealers service device
i mean the printout isnt even formatted like something i've seen from dealers thats why i questioned if it was actually a Mazda dealer

Got my omp today gonna install it tomorrow and see what happens.
BTW: the last day I drove it, It was just cranking for a long time and I had to give it some gas in order for it to turn on. I guess the guy at the dealership did not do this so is not turning on now. what could this be? any IDEAS?

Come on guys please don't demotivate me.
I bought a car one month ago in order to work and go to school (I start school next week) and I got a loan on it for 2 years...
ANYWAY, why do you guys think? (My biggest fear right now is engine replacement since I have literally 20 dollars in the bank)
I bought it and it was defective already I dunno how much it was driven before me with a faulty MOP.
again I appreciate you guys sharing your knowledge.

It will start normal after a reset..
The MOP problem will only show up after about 5 seconds when the pump fails the initialization test.

One random thought :
a faulty MOP should NOT cause issues like that ----- UNLESS the RX-8 MOP sucks like the FC S5 one --- which is KNOWN to kill ECU when it fails, cuz when it fails it's really the O-ring inside that fails, oil starts flooding inside the motor, create a short and fries the ECU. the design has been completely changed (somewhat) and this should not be the cause.
this does sound like it's just some "look ! it's throwing a bunch of codes, we are wrench monkeys we can't fix stuff that's not clear enough in the FSM! let's just throw random **** at the codes in FSM and see if it will fix the other problems!"
Another Random thought L
Oh, you might want to check your ECU connector to see if it's tight, cuz I had this issues on my 8 couple years ago, its a "random, no start issue", I was pulling my hair out to try to Find it, at the end Kevin @ Wayne found a row of pins on the ECU plug is not tight and it's not always touching the ECU pins, even when it's fully seated. Pulled the plug, fixed the wiring a little, Reinsert it, no problems ever since.

/\..Yeah, I would be checking ECU wire loom/plug connections, the 'plug-in' design is a poor set up in S1 ECU's..
BTW: J what happened to Kevin is he still at Wayne Mazda?, have not seen him on here for sometime.

Hey people,, the guy from the mechanic I took it told me "engine replacement" it seems that some how coolant is leaking to the combustion chamber that is why it is hard to start I got some white smoke every time it starts... so I am pretty much screwed.
the guy said it would cost like 4000 for the engine replacement (If I get a certified pre-onwed engine)
for this I would have to get a student loan just to pay my car. which sucks
I have no Idea what to do. How much should I expect to pay, where the f.. do I buy an engine??

The engine has likely been overheated, that will melt the 'O' rings in each housing, letting water get into the rotor area.
Engine is pooched, but will run if you keep the water topped up (for a while).
I'd send it to the auction, cut my losses, don't start paying a dealer thousands to put a new (used) engine in.....you can't afford it, it was broke when you bought it, expensive lesson.

I still have a loan on the car of about 5k, I have no idea on what to do without hurting my credit. I would need to go to school next year and I Will need a loan. can I get an engine replacement for like 2k?

You prolly could pick up one at a wrecker, and get a good mechanic to put it in, but that's such a crap shoot....
I totally understand your position, the '8 was virtually the worst decision you could make in your situation.....Rock, meet Hard Place.

Guys would it be worth it to spend this kind of money?
would it be worth it to mess up my credit and stop paying the car?
would it be better to get my student loan to pay the rest of the car send to a junk and then guy a 1000 car?
any suggestions please what would you guys do? I'm quite desperate right now...

First of all, being a broke student, I think you made a mistake of purchasing an 8. Its an expensive car to maintain, you shouldve known that when you bought it. Plus, you can't purchase one without doing the proper testing on it.
At this point, most people are gonna flame you. Although I think it would be better to get you out of this mess. So a 5k loan is nothing, any student job can pay that off rather quickly or you can ask your parents for money. Its not worth getting bad credit over. Pay it off and get it over with.
So now that you got your solenoids replaced, only the OMP is missing. You said you can install one by yourself right? Either try to work something out with the dealer, talk to the service manager so they install it for you since you cant drive the car.
Nobody on here can tell you if your engine is shot. Since your car is already at the dealer. Demand a compression test so you know for sure. If its low on compression, there are a few things you can do. Change the coils plugs wires (340$ from mazmart shipped to your door), do a seafom (there are DIY) A compression test will give you the answer you seek and is only around 140$. I know you have 20 bucks in your account, but right now youre at the point where you have to invest in the car. If you dont invest a few hundrer bucks, you risk losing many thousands. Get my point? Return on investment.
After that, you are free to do whatever you like. You can sell it to somebody and make back most if not all your money. Its worth more than 5k.
hope this helps,
cheers
