New member with electrical problems

Hey guys new to the forum but used to lurk around here alot back when i was thinking of purchasing my car. I did a quick search but didnt see anything real similar to the problem i am having. I have a 2004 nordic green 8, about 60,000 miles on it, six speed manual all stock except for the bhr coil kit. Bought it used about 2 years ago with roughly 20,000 miles on it. had the cat converter and 2 seals in the trans replaced under warranty shortly after purchasing it. I baby the car as far as upkeep goes. it gets stored in the winter inside from around Thanksgiving to March with the battery disconnected and in my basement on a piece of carpet to keep it off the concrete floor. So... now to the electrical issue

I noticed last year on occasion when i turned on the lights it would cause the radio to shut off and then turn back on immediately. With school and work didnt really have time to dive into the problem since it wasnt real serious at the time just more of an annoyance, but i new i would have to get to it eventually. Well this was close to winter so i didnt get time before i put it into storage cause i was finishing up my last semester of college.

Now that i got it back out the problem is much worse. The lights still cause the radio to cut out. If i am at a stop with the car running and i jerk the steering wheel counter clockwise it causes the radio to cut out, the rpm's drop (it has stalled on occasion), and the abs light comes on for roughly 5 seconds before going off. Just today when i shut the lights off when i got home it caused the car to shut off acting as if the battery had been disconnected cause the gauges were bouncing back and forth and the radio sounded like it was cycling through the cd's (six disc changer). This is the second time this has happened in roughly a month.

I just graduated with my electrical engineering degree so as far as the work goes it will be no problem but my other vehicle is an 83 chevy K10 lifted with super swampers that gets 8 mpg with a tail wind and going down hill. Was hoping to maybe get some insight from anybody that may have experienced something similar so i have a starting point. battery connection and fusses check out.

Sorry for the book but wanted to try and be thorough. thanks for any help

The battery connectors can be troublesome after you have removed them and put them back on a few times. I have had to replace my positive connector to my battery.
I sounds as tho you have a bad battery connector or bad ground connection somewhere.
That's were I would go next.
