I have looked plenty of times for this issue and have seen nothing so bare with me. Basically today my new issue is that in 1st gear and only 1st gear, when I accelerate to lets say about 6-8k and just as my shift has finished, I get a screeching noise similar to a belt screech, but not possibly because I just changed my belts so I highly doubt that's the issue. let me know if you guys have any ideas.


Also quick side easy answer. I have seen people go back and fourth on coils having white spots on them being fine or bad. Any real reliable answer?

 

Double check ur belts, make sure its not too tight nor loose

White spot is not a good way to tell if coils are still good, the easy way is to test it with one of those spark plug like tool, mazda's fsm way is not an accurate way to test them
