No more power after 8500rpm since mazdaspeed cold air intake...

Hi guys,
Since I installed my mazdaspeed cold air intake I have barely enough power to accelerate after 8500rpm... Takes out all the fun of reving high... Why does this happen? Should I go back stock?

You probably did something wrong. Go back and check your install and make sure there is nothing obvious.

Do you have a CEL right now? Did you reset the computer at all after you installed it or did you just start driving?

You're losing power after 8300ish rpm anyway, why go that high?
It's probably just an impression anyway, +1 on the ecu reset.
