No traction control button?

Hey guys, I was looking in the manual to see how I could turn off the traction control on my 8. It said I have to hit the DSC button on the lower left portion of the dash.

Problem...I do not have that button. I have a button which raises and dims the HUD lighting and 3 other blank buttons. Any ideas?

You have a base model, no DSC and a few other items.

Because the car never had it to begin with. Information on the different trim levels of RX-8's is not hard to find. Do not blame ' them ' for your lack of simple research.

I guess I deserved that. I am just pissed because the dealer said it was a touring edition.

Early RX8's this would be called a "base" model, then there was the Sport, Touring & GT. Later, the entry model was called the Sport. The Sport came in 2 different levels of trim. One with TC/DSC, one without.
What the name of the trim level of your car is depends on the year it was made.
