Noise after new clutch and resurfaced flywheel
This is probably a common issue as I came up with lots of results on google but no specific answer. So here's the story, I got a new clutch because the original one was starting to make squeaky noises every time I would depress the pedal and/or release it. I went to the dealer and bought a new clutch and had the flywheel resurfaced, now I notice that every time I hit 4 gear (at about 29 mph) I hear a rattling noise as I accelerate, this noise continues all the way to about 40 mph and only happens between 3rd and 4th. I have no idea what it could be the cause of it, but I think it might be the break-in period, even though that doesn't make sense because it only happens in 3rd and 4th and not on all gears. But then again I'm not the expert, I will drop by the dealership soon and see what they tell me; I haven't dropped by yet because I thought it was a break-in period type of thing. I'm already past the 500 miles they recommended and the noise still continues.
The noise doesn't annoy me or anything but it's kinda embarrassing when I'm accelerating next to someone and they can hear the noise, they might think that my car looks good on the outside but the engine is fucked up.
I tried the 0-60 and is still at about 5 seconds, the new clutch shift real good and aggressively, the only thing is that noise at low speeds.

Just a squeaking noise is def not your clutch. You just wasted some good money. If your clutch was going bad, you would notice your rpms going up but your speed not keeping up as it should. As for the noise you have, that is not normal. I put a new clutch in my 8 and there was never any noise. Somethings wrong. And as CRH said, you are shifting way too low. Rotaries are meant to shift high, thats what the engine prefers.

I'm only shifting like that because of city driving and too many stop signs and signals as Mazda recommends such speeds. As for the old clutch, it didn't shift as good as when I first got the car this is also my first manual so I gave that clutch some noob abuse also considering how the car has 65k on it, I figured that my clutch was at about 75% on its lifespan. Like I said before, this noise only happens in 3rd and 4th and I don't think is the engine because I shifted like that with the old clutch as well and I never heard that noise.
