My rx8 is cranking but not starting. I originally thought the engine was flooded because I didnt let the engine warm up. I tried starting it the way ive found by searching how to un flood the engine and it wouldnt start. I just replaced the spark plugs about a month ago and pulled them and cleaned them. I smell fuel when im trying to start it. Its gotten to the point of turning over but just wouldnt. Has anyone ever heard or had this problem if so how can I fix it?

 

You need to remove the spark plugs.
Disconnect the ESS.
Pull the Fuel Pump fuse.
Depress the fuel peddle for extra measure.
Crank in 10 second segments until you see no more vapor or moisture.

Typically 15 sets.

Have a battery charger handy.

Don't ask where the Fuel Pump fuse is or the ESS ... they can all be found with a simple search.

 

Is your car auto or manual?
If manual, the best option is to have it push/pull started. Watch youtube videos, if you are unfamiliar with that
