Odd Idle when AC is on.

Odd Idle when AC is on.
Not sure if this is normal or not but when I have the AC on and I come to a stop. It sounds like the fan or something comes on for a few seconds then shuts off and continues to do that on and off until I start moving again.
The car kind of vibrates when it happen and the rpms drop a tiny bit when it first comes on.
If I turn the AC off, this doesn't happen.

Normal. the drop in revs is the AC clutch kicking in and stealing 10 HP from your engine to turn the compression. The fan kicks on to push air through the condenser/ to prevent overheating.

ok... This is what I was hoping.. I'm just used to not hearing and feeling such things happen in a car.
It's just weird that it doen it in such a quick cycle. it's on for a few seconds then off for a few then on, then off etc etc.
the car only has 20,000 miles, it seems to have been kept in very good shape. the carfax shows it had all the maintenance and what not done + all the recalls and the like.
I just got the car last week.
