Oil in Air Intake 2004 RX8
I have changed my air-filter to a ReVi aiintake. When I removed the old I found oil in the air intake hose. (The little 1ft part that hooks to the engine intake.) It has oil in it. Like a puddle in the bottom.. So I wiped it out and I tried to crank it, it would't crank, just kept turing over for 15min. So i added the oil back in there (the intake hose) and it cranked right up. Is this oil suppose to be in there?
Thanks

Indeed. The oil in the intake is normally a bad thing. Not sure why yours started with it in there...
Anyway: this problem almost got me to trade in my car I was that furious with it.

Oil in the intake can be anything from an over fill when the oil is changed to engine blow by caused by bad rotor seals. It need to be checked out.
I had oil in the intake that was caused driving with a plugged cat.
