5w-20

I love in the states in the north and I use 5w-20 all year round since that's what it says in my manual. I get good mileage have never had a issue with my engine and I average 21mpg. Between full ups. I was using 5w-30 for a while then I read the manual finally and switched. My car stopped blowing smoke and has been running amazing since I switched to the 5w-20 from just a standard store or gas station. I guess it boils down to what you want out of your Rx-8 and what you want to spend. Good luck figuring it out. And a side question to any one. I have a eco light on my middle HUD and I'm curious how to turn it on? Thanks

It only comes on if you have the flat 4 hybrid model.

Whale oil is the best, but you have to order it by the barrel from Japan.
