oil flow/lowrmp studder/rough idle
hey guys so i got a bucket list here haha. ive been peeking these forums for the last year when i bought my 05 6mt 8, i looked aorund and i found similar people with situations, but unfortunatly mine is about the same but more intense.
low rpms 2-4thou it stutters haaarrrddd and fast its a thumping noise like its trying to skip down the road at 25mph. I cant see it being my clutch and sometimes it doesnt happen, i just noticed this last night and this morning was bad so i just shut her down and parked her at home.
finding from other post people were talking about plugs coils n such, ive been pulling up a 276 evap emission code, and my cat is junk for the most part 420 pd and what not.
no cel light arrives when im driving but my check engine and emissions come on and off frequently once or twice a day.
removing my mass air flow i find i dont have lining of oil in there but PUDDLES of oil
the picture below was after i took a rag through it.
next is my maf after i cleaned it it looked fine no splits or breaks
once my buddy gets here im going to grab a new lock lug so i can take that wheel off and take out the plugs but from screwing around the tops looked good.
thanks for you help, and lemme know if there anything i can do to make this easier for you guys to throw a bone my way. good looks

That much oil in the intake can be causing all sorts of sensor and intake problems.
The rest of your symptoms do sound like the typical "ignition almost completely failed" symptoms.
Don't forget the coils. If one or more is failing, it won't matter how fresh and new your wires and plugs are... And the coils have the same expected lifespan as the plugs and wires.

as much as i hate to say it i gave it to the shop. i swapped out the plugs and wire, i was on a 5 day wait for coils through aparts store. they dont keep inventory on car like this in the middle of NH. so it was quicker for the mazda dealer to do a clear flood process and swap the plugs. it was a matter of being able to get to work.
im pretty dissapointed in myself for letting the car get to this point. i burned through those plugs n all in about 7 months.
learned my lesson haha we'll see how it goes 1200 bills after.
thank for your help
