There is no way to tell if it's normal, since you didn't specify how many miles. Saying 5 days have past means nothing.

You should install the sohn adapter if losing oil bothers you.

that depends on how many miles you did in the meantime .........

you either have an oil leak, or you didn't measure the oil properly. There is no way you can burn over a quart in 30 miles.

sometimes one side of the dip stick will look wet, but the other side is dry (because the stick touched oil on the way out)

I had my oil changed at the dealer on June 27,2007 at 8,829 miles and its now August 23, 2007 and the car has 10,516 miles. My wife drives the car 99% of the time so i only see it at night sitting in the garage but i do check the oil on the weekends and I have not had to add a drop since the dealer changed it. I called them up to tell them that im sure the car was over filled by the dumb *** that changed the oil but they said no, its prob fine. I got rather pissed and said well the car is under full warrenty so whatever. This was a few weeks ago and i figured id see a drop on the dip stick soon anyway, but still its full. I'll check it like 3 times just to make sure. Before i had the oil changed i would have to add 1/4 quart every 2 weeks or so to keep it topped off. Anyone have suggestions or thoughts, or what it could be doing to my engine if it was over filled? Thanks in advance
