Ongoing Clutch Issues
Back in last october I was out racing my car, when I went to kick the clutch and the pedal went down and didn't come back.
Since then I have removed the pedal assembly and welded it (it wasn't showing signs of failure but I was advised to weld it anyway).
Replaced both the master and slave cylinders, spent a tonne of time bleeding them, both bench bleeding and in the system, I am now pretty confident there is no air in the system. I've done it with vaccuum bleeders and pressure bleeders.
I am stilling having issues with the pedal though, it returns, but when I press and depress it, it has a weird vibrating sensation, like running over a rippled surface, there is no sensation of spongeyness otherwise, and it is still not engaging the clutch to enter gear (the fork seems to be moving about 2-3cm of travel when the pedal is pressed).
I did at one point when the pressure bleeder was attached and pressurised with the engine not running, feel the pedal and I could've sworn it felt normal, but i'm not confident that wasn't just in my mind as it'd been a month or 2 since i'd last worked on it. I am now leaning towards issues with the actual clutch itself and not the hydralics, the only other thing I can think of is the master cylinder I brought had a slightly different design for the outlet to the slave, it dimensionally was identical to the original except instead of the pipe connecting directly in, there was a banjo bolt and fitting which it connected via, but all my research has suggested this is the correct and compatible part despite the different design of outlet.
So do the symptoms sound familiar to anyone, i'm at the point I think my next step is to pull the gearbox and check the clutch, I was trying to avoid this to avoid having to drain the diff and gearbox as i'd only just changed their fluids the week before it broke.
So urm, dropped the gearbox, the clutch was totally fried. No material left atall, issue solved.

The only thing I can suggest is make sure you refer to the shop Manual as far as setting up your engagement points for the clutch. I had issues with mine because I was not timed right when I purchased the car. Then I installed a new clutch kit and had the issue. It’s pretty vital to make sure this procedure is done correctly.
