Unhappy overfilled oil killed my 8?

I accidentally added too much oil two days ago and noticed that at the first 3 seconds of acceleration (in 1st gear - AT), the engine struggled a little bit with a noticeable shake to it....once it got past about 2500 RPM it was fine and went into subsequent gears fine.

The next day it struggled to start....took about 4 seconds to finally turn over. I know I should have investigated the issue then because something was obviously wrong but I had a test to take and there was no way I could miss it. I get back home and the next day (today) it's completely dead.

It doesn't even attempt to turn. The battery is obviously fine. I know 100% that the issue was me putting the extra oil in the car, as it's well above the fill line and the car was completely fine before I added the oil. I absolutely need to figure this out ASAP! I have searched the forums high and low but cannot find a solution. Please do not tell me to just search, I would like sound advice and help troubleshooting this issue. Thanks for reading.

Should I drain the oil? Should I clean the oil out from other parts of the engine? I heard that the air intake could be covered in oil but I have no clue how to get to it and clean it out.

1st - Yes, drain and refill your oil appropriately.

2nd - Look for an upper intake manifold DIY, or SSV valve DIY. Both involve pulling apart/off the entire intake tract.

3rd - Your issue could easily be caused by the overfilling of oil. Oil getting on the intake valving, carboning them up or outright sticking them shut. If your ignition is weak at all, you could have also fouled the plugs with the too-excess oil spilling into the engine. I'd pull the plugs at least to confirm a yes or no on if they are fouled up.

Are you saying that when you hit the key, the motor wont turn over, or it turns over and wont fire?

Right now it wont turn over....I think the battery is low because I have to manually lock the doors/windshield wipers dont work but lights are on in the dash. Before It would turn over but not fire (start), I would get 4 distinct sounds before it quit on me (chug chug chug chug....silence). I believe when attempting to start it several times the battery drained out.

should I drain some of the oil and clean the intake and plugs BEFORE attempting to jumpstart?

Well if there is a **** load of oil in the intake tract and on his MAF it will not run right either way. Take 5 minutes to clean the intake duct and MAF. Not to mention if his air filter is sopping wet from oil.
