P0302 code with good coils

I know the typical answer, change plugs/wires/coils but I just pulled the coils and wires off and checked them and they're all showing the right resistance. The plugs all look good and are relatively new so unless a plug would fail internally its not that.

2 questions, is there something else that could fail in a coil that the simple resistance check in accordance with the manual wouldn't show the failure?

2, how do you check things upstream of the coils that could cause a misfire? Obviously a broken wire could cause it but without pulling the wires all the back and looking for breaks, where do I check the continuity of those wires?

The car was running when the code came in so I don't think its a plugged fuel injector but I'm going to pull those apart and clean check them next weekend.

Yes, the ignitor... which is the common failure within our coils.
And this can't be tested with a meter alone nor can it be visually inspected (the "white patch" rumor).

You can swap coils between the two rotors and see if the problem carries over (which will generate a P0301 code instead) to help narrow down the faulty component.
But most people here don't like troubleshooting and throw a bunch of money at random components until its "fixed", so that's why you hear the "change plugs/wires/coils" repeated over and over.

Once again you help out. I love you Thats good to know about the ignitor. I have the BHR kit on order but figured I'd troubleshoot anyway while I'm waiting. I got all the right readings and it scared the **** out of me since I'm moving in 2 weeks and it'd be nice to drive my car to the new place not tow it lol.

I haven't swapped stuff because I haven't wanted to hurt the cat plus its a bit of a pain to get it started right now. I'll hold off and come back if I have more problems once the new coils come.
