P0446 - Vent control malfuction
Ok,
I've searched. Can't find it anywhere. Got a CEL P0446 that keeps coming up. Where is the vent controller and how do I replace it!?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Part number, location of part. Or anyone else that's come across this before? Seems to be fairly Uncommon.
Thanks in advance for any help!!
Cheers

Description of the P0446 code:
Location of the pump (#4 in illustration):
Close-up of the pump:
Same service manual also instructs on how to troubleshoot the pump.
If you don't have a digital copy, you can find many threads here where others have posted a link to download.
Good luck and keep us posted!

So this might be a bigger PITA than I originally thought.. Any idea how to get to the pump??
I have a Mazda parts guy who treats me fair, through a good connection. Pump is $200 Canadian my cost . Before I order it I wanted to make sure it's accessible. According to the parts guy, Mazda shop instructions call for them to drop the rear diff to service evap canister and other parts. He couldn't find a specific instruction for evap pump. Any Idea of the easiest way to get to the pump??
Thanks!
