Penny in the gear box......
My wife accidentally dropped a penny coin into the Gear shifter and it slides through the gap ...could not get it out.
After like 20 minutes, the check engine light came on...old OBD2 reader got stolen, so not sure what it is yet.
Do you think the light and coin connected?......

Automatic? it won't go in the transmission...(in either an auto or manual)
Likely just under the cover...

Maybe I thought he had the shifter off, as in to take out the old shifter and put in a AFE or something... I guess I should of assumed he wouldnt know how to do that... or that it was a AT

hmmm....indeed an AT. I also think it should just stick at certain corner under the cover. But the engine light came on for the first time for this car in past 6 years, just feel it is too coincident...
Thanks for the reply, I'll have to open the thing and find it...
