Persistently dead
Hey All,
My 2005 8 MT is giving me trouble these days.
Every time I try to start it in the morning, it appears to be flooded.
Every time it starts after 10 minutes of the "intermediate" deflooding procedure (remove fuel pump fuse, attach jumper cables, attempt to crank, nothing happens, repeat for 10 minutes, engine starts to crank, re-attach fuse, engine starts). Drive for 30-60 minutes. Fine to restart.
Dead in the morning.
New coils, plugs and wires. Interstate battery. Greddy Exhaust. Old starter (new one on the way). Dealer test 5,000km ago indicates ok compression.
What's up with this? How can I make the car start reliably? What am I missing here?

Sounds like the battery is dieing. Means you either have a short in the system, trunk lid isn't shut so your lights are on all night draining your battery, failing alternator, etc...
