Pop sound from braking

Hello all,

I just recently have been hearing this popping sound from my brakes. Here is the situation that causes it:

Medium to medium hard braking--but quick--pressure causes a distinctive single "pop" that can be partially felt through the brake pedal, but the sound appears to be emanating from the engine bay--perhaps the brake booster or master cylinder.

It isn't a one-time thing, where if I do it once it is good. I can successively repeat the process and the sound will still occur.

Any thoughts?

You are good Charles!

I recently have been receiving a wheel sensor light on my dash after I took it out of storage.

Any way to determine which sensor is bad?

Pull the codes. There will be B or C codes for that ABS light.

If it's a light that looks like a steering wheel though, it's not the ABS system. It's not clear what light you are referring to.
