power steering

So i was driving today, picked up my g/f, and we were on our way back to her house, wasn't driving crazy or even doing anything at all really, just talking and going along with traffic, then i notice my powersteering light go off and right after...no more power steering. i pulled over, turned the car off and back on....and it started working. and it still does. should this worry me? anyone have anything similar happen to them?

Poor connection at the wiring connectors for the EPS system. Search around I believe there's a DIY on how to do it in that forum.

Yeah I hated that f*****in power steering problem! Especially during the winter season. I hanged out with my buddy one weekend in Long Island and he explained all I needed to do was clean my connectors (which is actually located underneath the air intake base). I didn't follow the name on the spray can but you can find at your local pepboys or autozone shop. I noticed a white substance over both connectors. Why did Mazda position them right underneath tube connected to the coolant bottle? It's possible it could of been what caused the power steering problem. So I covered both connectors with a small piece of white bag plastic and taped both of them using black electric tape (about the width of finger) all around. I couldn't it believe it but for 2 years straight and my power steering light never went on! Try it let me know if it worked for you and spread the word.

man, all week this week my power steering has been working, then not working (rinse and repeat...), my car has broken down twice this month and I"m out of money for this! first my radiator, then carbon lock, now PS... at least it sounds like the PS just needs an easy and quick cleaning!

so, I started my car the PS light stayed on and no PS, "ahh phuk it" went to the bank, went in, came back out, started her up... PS working... rinse and repeat two more times... also... while it's working I've noticed it's harder to turn one direction then the other at times, and on one drive it kept fading in and out causing me to nearly veer off the road... I'd be super grateful if someone can recommend what kind of cleaner I should use...?
