Power Steering Loss After Slide

Power Steering Loss After Slide
Let me start off by saying I'm a novice, at rotary, "power, racing, ect" driving, the whole lot.
Anywho, the other day I turned off my DSC to engage in the usual fun sliding of the rear i experience while making left turns at speeds that would grant me a nice bail to pay should an officer see it. While doing so the back end of my car slid a bit further than i was used to. I didn't have the presence of mind to counter steer (hindsight) as that would have just turned it into a sweet drift . So I unconsciously slam in my clutch, start breaking and don't actually recall too much of what happened. I end up facing oncoming traffic on the wrong side of the road at a full stop perfectly parked against the curb. So I quickly drive off as to not cause an even bigger scene or worse an accident. Though to be honest I thought I had completely botched up my wheels or something as my car drove as though the wheels were pushing against eachother (I've never driven without power steering[Hindsight]). Anywho, I turned off and back on my car after inspecting my wheels and soothing my worries of having really botched it up, and my power steering is back on again... Any one have any clues as to what happened, or if there's anything else I should check out? Also 2009 model.
Much appreciated and below is a more detailed description of the happenings.
Extremely low traffic (1 car that was in front of me, and 2 waiting to go across from me at the end)
1 AM
3 Lanes on each side of the road with a middle barrier separating traffic (very large intersection)
Starting in the right hand left turn lane (out of two). In second is where the spin started, ended up completely in the far left lane of the street i was turning onto, only facing the wrong direction, Power steering off. Drove off, restarted car, power steering on.
Thank you and man I feel like an effing retard and haven't turned off my dcs since. And by god I got to find an abandoned air strip or something to play with this thing.

just like one of the threads before, like i posted ( this has happened to me before...THANKS TO THE SEARCH FUNCTION I FOUND A SOLUTION)...here i am again explaining
the PS connectors are RIGHT above the radiator, which can cause condensation to build up and seep into the connectors, where there ARE 2 metal prongs...as anyone would know, water + metal = corrosion, NOT GOOD, but neways, remove your airbox and the plate that holds it, you will see the connectors RIGHT above the radiator, disconnect them and give em a good cleaning with electronic cleaner (canned air, keyboard duster) then dab the 2 metal prongs with anitseize cream ( you know that stuff you put on the battery post when you buy a new one) this helps with any water or corrosion in the future, plug back in, and put everything back together and everything should be fine....or you could do #1 ^

Searched for loss of power steering because I had it last night when I slid in some snow. Same thing. I turned it off when I got to a gas station, filled up, checked the power steering fluid, turned it back on and it was back...

Probably nothing to worry about.
I'd bet your car 'almost' stalled, and the engine computer simply switched off power to the power steering. You shouldn't have any further problems (and if you do - it's an '09 so under warranty)
Finally, don't drive like that on the street - hitting a kerb - hitting another car - hitting a kid on a bike....
And how, exactly, did you find the level?
