Pretty sure it has to do with the tranny...
Ok... so I was driving to Oklahoma City from Dallas, and the drive was going pretty well. When I got to my destination i had a weird 'rocks in a can' jingle everytime i accelerated in 2nd and 3rd. And in fourth it began to sound like I had a small turbo. After I had parked it for a couple of hours, i took it out again, and began having problems with reverse, and it would just grind unless I pressed on the shifter while i disengaged. Then on that same drive, the tranny would pop on in first gear. Hurt to listen to, I'll be honest. What's even sadder is that the motor was just replaced JUST 2000 miles ago.
I assume the tranny has gone to ****, but i hope it could just be the clutch.
Any thoughts? Any help is appreciated so I understand a little more about what may be happening before I talk to a shop.
Thanks guys,

Without really being there to troubleshoot and hear this... its difficult to say for sure.
Doesn't sound good though... probably something you want an experienced shop to look at.
This is probably something you don't want to mess with yourself.

and now it seems today that I have a very pronounced squeak coming from the clutch pedal. I've already talked to a mechanic and will bring it in tomorrow. He feels that it is probably a synchro. Does anyone know how much that will cost approximately?
