Question about bogging engine
New to rx8, and rotoraries.
I have owned several performance vehicles beforem including a MKIV Supra and an S4.
Pardon my spelling here if any issues; just got a cast on my left hand, so it likes to type extra letters for me.
Basics:
Just got the car about 1 month ago. Red, 04, 54K miles, 6spd grand touring. completely stock.
When i drive it in stop and go (and sometimes distance driving highway in the heat out here, it bogs, and acts like a turbo car with a blown turbo. You hear the engine pushing but it feels like the power gets cut in half.
When i stop i let it cool and shut it off, and upon start up it acts like normal, until some more driving and heat, then it does it again.
Will stop when it sits, say, overnight, and the next morning its fine.
What should i do? Any ideas?
Take it to Mazda?
any idea to find out what recalls peformed?
is this a transmission heat problem?
thanks for your help; I am a newbie here, but i did a search.
so, if i missed something, even a link would help.

i checked the vin and there are no outstanding recalls on it.
Is it possible they did the 4206F recall incorrectly, and gave me a new cat when it needed a new engine?
anyone?
thanks,
Kapil

update:
ordered my extended warranty.
Waiting on it to come in.
It was bad today. I drove 30 miles, 1/2 hwy, and it was bogging towards the end of the trip.
Sat outdoors in the heat,
5pm drove back. It acted like an old dx civic, all sound but going nowhere.
no codes, no check engine,
and now a funny smell from AC.
When the warranty comes in, i take it in,
and i will give everyone an update.
