QUESTION: Pre-mix & 2cycle
Ok i done searching but this getting me really confused.
I never done the premix so i am really nervous about this. So exactly what is a premix and 2 cycle? What is a good brand to use than. I just lost mostly because some people claim using it is better and not using it is better, some claim full synthetic some claim non. So Can someone clear me on this. Thanks

SEARCH please
There are only about 1 million and one threads(and now again counting) on this subject.
Put in "Premix" and you will become enlightened. Here's a start for you. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ght=oil+premix
Now you can also look down even on this page you are veiwing and see "similar threads"
Personally, I use Idemistu, but there are many you can use.
SEARCH is your friend. Don't be scared of it! Use "advanced search", much better....but not perfect.
I'd like to think this thread will end here now, but I know better and it will become yet another oil/premix thread.

Any 2 stroke engine oil rated JASO FC or above. Take about 2 to 4 oz and dump it in your fuel tank before a refill. You will notice the difference right away, don't worry about it blowing up your engine.

okay, 2nd post helpful 1st post not. 5 yrs ago search was your friend on this site. Now it brings confusion especially to those new to the rotary motor. So many threads and posts which are not parsed or purged of their uselessness. Just what I want to find on a search, some douche who posts emoticons. Lay off the criticisms and chastising. Search of this site is rarely your friend.

Yep, I've backed off on the 'search noob' of late myself, as given 7 years of threads it can be daunting for the newcomer.
2-cycle engines, such as chain saws, weedwhackers, and older outboard motors, require oil in the gasoline as a means to lubricate.
4-cycle engines do not require oil in the gas as they have discrete oiling systems.
However, the Wankel engine being a very different 4-cycle design does benefit from the addition of 4-8 oz per tankful of a quality 2-cycle oil principally to lubricate the apex seals and better assure compression. Idemitsu is preferred as it is specifically formulated for rotary engines, but there are other good ones.

Douchebaggery !!
Malfunction? The dude said in his 1st sentence, "I'm done searching and am confused. . ."
Rather than play the holier than thou card, why not just answer the question? Could have been done in two sentences and you would have been someone this cat might seek out in the future if he needed help. Or better yet, say nothing if you are so annoyed by people asking for advice. Dude didn't post the question to have some D.A. give him a lecture. Damn . . .

lame dude. there is a premix thread that is like 100 pages long, it's not hard to find, just a milion pro's and con's that the user needs to sort out for themselves. Lot's of reading, or just make a new thread and ask? I got burned when I chose the latter, and learned to search for the answers afterward.

Did you even bother to read the whole thing?
There's more answers in that first thread than I'm sure you've answered in all your 213 or so posts.
Exactly what did you add to this thread anyway?
I'm positive I have helped out 20x the people you have on this site, so........................
Don't bother responding as I won't read it anyway.

Yeah,a moron I may be, been called worse by wives, and grown men around the world. Problem is that I'm right and you are to full of yourself to admit it. It's clear from your last entry that you are nothing more than a Post Queen. Wow, 5 digits in 3 years, I'm impressed with your, "No life but I have an RX-8" self.
Grow up and realize that posts are made and questions are asked to EVERYONE not just Mazboy the post queen and his friend the ******** taster. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and post nothing when that dude with a mere 2 digits asks a question. Or better yet, unplug yourself, grow up and get a life that doesn't involve your car or this board.

Fact:
1. Premix thread was discussed.
2. Maz provided info and link instead of just "SEARCH plz"
3. I provided info as well.
4. You came in all upset and butthurt about something and take it out on us
So Grow up, shut up, build a bridge, get over it or STFU.
Questions were answered, angry little man.
P.S I'm still not a douche

There are so many "heroes" on this forum like galleycheif
They just came out of NOWHERE to "protect the noobs" and like "why can't u just answer the question" ?
Exactly, what did you do the whole time? Mr. Hero ?
U know why we tell noobs to search ?
cuz the same question has been answered like at least 50 million times.
In fact, you don't even need to search, there is a god damn STICKY post about premix thats like zillion pages long.
What about Google? Is it really THAT HARD TO USE IT ?
What did you do? other than whining like a little school girl with NO HELP/CONTRIBUTION whatsoever.
Mazurfer has helped way more than noobs than you can possibility imagine. so just get lost.
