Racing Beat Sway Bar Bushings Dry W/ No Grease?

After reading Expo1's DIY for installing RB Sways ( https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...y+bar+endlinks ) I found his other post about his RB Bushings being completely dry and making a horrid noise ( https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=65304 ). Could this be caused by overtightening the clamp that holds the bushing and pushes out the grease or is it just the grease in general? Is there any other type of grease that will not dry out like the grease supplied with RB's sways? Thanks

Did you read ALL the posts in the thread of mine you mentioned? If you did I don't see how you could have made the above post.

Zerk fittings are good, along with regular inspection/lube, when dealing with low cost urethane bushings. More costly rubber bushings are of course superior as far as noise, but do wear more quickly. Copper grease is a plus.

Autozone has them.

They have it in one section, usually next to gear oils.

Just grab a tin bottle of Mobil1 Synthetic Grease. Its Red-ish in color, its cheap, and they last very long.

So a Zerg fitting it just a cork like object that you can take out and use a grease gun or something like it to grease your bushings? then clog it back up?

Umm... no.
A Zerk fitting is more like a one-way valve.
You insert the grease gun nozzle onto the fitting and pump the grease.
The grease goes in but can't come back out.
