what wires did you tap into?
did you plug everything back in properly? make sure than none of the wires came loose when you removed them. double check the big wiring harness. thats what poweres the radio.

This seems to be the same issue as mine. It must be a fuse. I cant find az blown one tho. I didnt touch the radio at all, but did some wiring for my lambo doors install. I think I had a short... gonna work on it today, I will keep you informed if I find anything!

I really have no idea what to do?
I will certainly not buy a new original week radio...
If i buy the metra kit and a new radio, will it fix the problem????
The fact that there is no power at all on the display up the radio is strange........

did you pull the radio out to install the adapter...a common problem, and one i came across, was the faceplate plug not being completely conntected with the actual radio housing. For example, if you pulled the radio out by pulling on the faceplate of the radio, the small plug about halfway up on both sides of the backside of the faceplate may not be fully connected. That will make the radio not function correctly, and the display either go out completely or have jarbled text. Push on the left side of the radio about halfway up (all around the faceplate too) and see if it fixes the problem, if it does then take the radio out and make sure the faceplate and housing are fully tightened together. I know this all is confusing, but I had the problem too awhile ago. And yea, the metra kit should fix the problem if its what i think it is. good luck
