Radio cutting out and resetting while ABS/traction activates... ?
This happened yesterday or day before:
Coming into my work parking lot, 2nd gear, clutch in, put into reverse and start to reverse into parking spot. The radio began to dip out of sound and scratch and then cut out. The radio screen reset back to the "mazda RX-8" screen and the traction control and ABS light on the dash came on. During this all I was still able to reverse into the spot without the car cutting out. When the radio came back on, the lights turned off and all was fine.
Just now the same thing happene but twice in a row.
I was reversing into my driveway and the car did the same thing by the radio cutting out and showing the ABS and TCS lights. This time I realized that my steering wheel locked during the reset and each time I tried to turn the wheel while it was locked, it would try to reset the radio again...
Someone mentioned in another thread that it may be a loose wire somewhere or is this natural for traction control to kick in when you may be revving too much in reverse or something like that?
I really dunno where to start...
Thanks in advance!
