Hi guys,
I have a 2004 RX-8 with a Grom Ipod adapter.
All worked well until yesterday. I jumpstarted the car.
After that, if i press the CD button, to switch to the CD or Ipod adapter nothing happens. If I use the Mod button on the steering wheel, it jumps from FM1, FM2, AM but no CD
I also put a CD in, it loads it, but it doesn't play it.
Any idea on how the Radio would be working, but the CD and or GROM would not ?

I fixed it
I disconnected the Grom from the main unit (you have to pull like crazy), and then connected it back.
Now everything works
Nothing like writing a problem down, in order to solve it

 

I had similar problems with my Axxess iPod adapter.
Did the same as you... disconnected/reconnected and it worked fine.

 

No such luck for me, cats. My Grom was working beautifully for about five days and then my disconnected the iPod to update it.

When I reconnected, there was no EX option. Mode and [ CD ] will both give me CD but no EX.

I disconnected everything and hooked it back up but it didn't matter.

If anyone's got advice I'd appreciate it. Until then I'll continue to trawl the posts.
