Ok today i got a CEL light after i went and registered for my classes today. The car hasn't been started in two days and hasn't been driven in almost a week. Its just been sitting in my driveway because of massive amounts of snow. I had the oil changed about a week ago. The last time i had a CEL come on it was because of a wire cover came loose on my clutch. If anyone knows what it may be i would appreciate it alot

 

go to autozone and have them get the code for it, its free and takes only a few short minutes

 

Agree... we'll just be throwing darts at a board guessing until we know the code that generated the CEL.

 

First thing you need to is get the CEL code read to see what it is. Go to an autoparts store some do scans for free

 

ok thats probly what im gonna do tomorrow after class. My buddy is the manager at advanced auto so i will drop by there. I just didn't know if you guys had any problems because of the cold weather and leaving it sitting for a lil bit. I appreciate the help guys

 

I got the code read, and an intake valve is stuck open. Its not a big deal really just tired of having the light on. They are gonna clear the code and when it starts warming up this weekend it should fix it. Why does the goofiest stuff happen to my 8? Oh well, i still love it
