RB dual resonated midpipe knocking

Ok I have the RB dual res midpipe mated with TurboXS exhaust
to get it to fit I had to cut the end off the RB midpipe and use my old end from my TurboXS midpipe
ever since I put this midpipe on I have had the most god awful racket I have ever heard under my car...its an extremely loud knocking coming from the middle area of the car that resonates in the cabin
it does this even worse at idle after it has warmed up a little
i have jacked the car up MANY times trying to find the source of the bumping with no luck...i suspect when I jack it up it is no longer touching
it does not do this when a large person is in the passenger seat
I CAN NOT FIND THIS KNOCKING...my last resort is to get the car on a lift and ****** the midpipe downward with a chain???
has anyone else experienced anything like this???...i havent found anything similiar to this anywhere
any ideas where this could be coming from and maybe a less violent solution to this problem???

My RB midpipe has been on the car for over a year now with no issues at all. Actually, not sure just how long since the previous owner had it installed already. Maybe something to do with having to cut the pipe? I'm really at a loss here : (

look at your mid pipe exhaust hanger...check to see if it is touching the frame or is every close to it.

Had the same problem with my car. Luckily I ran it over to a buddy's place that had a lift and found that the midpipe was rattling against the end of the subframe. We put a large piece of wood against the subframe and hit it with a hammer a couple times. No issues since.

no...the powerplant subframe runs the length of the driveshaft along the passenger side of the tunnel. The end of it bends out towards the center of the car and mine was close enough to rattle against the midpipe.

Oh yea...and we used the block of wood so we wouldn't be swinging a hammer anywhere near the carbon fiber driveshaft.

There isn't much play in how the RB midpipe fits in there Ray. Even if you were able to rotate it up a little I think over time that it might rotate back down.

damellm - My RB midpipe isn't even near the crossmembers. Is it possible that you have the old Mazsport midpipe that is very similar to the RB midpipe?
