We probably won't know what truly happened but at some point they got a hose wrong and there have been a few people who like me received a hose that didn't match up. I just received an e-mail from Samco and was asked to post this on the forum.

"Hi Joel,

That's great news, and thank you for your assistance with this issue. If you are on the forums it's important that owners of the U.S spec RX8's order the correct kit for their car containing this hose, therefore I have given it a specific Samco kit number which is TCS-544/C. As long as they order this kit all the hoses will be correct.
