Rough idle - misfire

So back in November the check engine light came on, on the wife's 8.
She said the motor seemed to be running rough at idle, but otherwise normally.
So we take it to the dealer, who check the code - which comes up "misfire".
They say that it wasn't misfiring now, clear the code and charge me $100 !
The weather warmed up and the light stayed out, but as a precaution I bought new plugs, wires and coils and planned to install them when I had some time off, on a nice day ... today !

So .. removing the front wheel to get access to the plugs and what do I see .. the leading rear sparkplug boot was off, and by the corrosion on the plug, had been off for quite awhile !!!

How's that for quality service at the dealer ...
You'd think they would have at least checked ...

I'll bet she's going to run a lot better when I'm done .. ha ha !!
I just wish it hadn't been 3 months since I was at the loser dealership - though I'm still going to let them have it !

DON'T BLAME THE DEALER !

This could have happened after they checked the car.

I doubt it ... it's probably been that way since they replaced the plugs for the recall in Oct/06 !
