RX8 - 231 - Headlight AutoLeveling Malfuncation Indicator Light
Hello,
I often get the Headlight AutoLeveling Malfuncation Indicator Light coming on my dashboard and when the main dealers looked into this they suggested replacing both the front and rear sensors on the car at around 300 - 400 pound each!!
Is their anyway I can manually adjust these or do anything to take this light from coming up on my dashboard?
Thanks

I've looked on here for the DIY section for them but can't find them....
I can only find reference to the mazda technical bulletin for the new connector to fix the weather proofness of them...
I'd be very gratful if someone could post the link to this DIY repair for them...
Many Thanks guys

I read that this is a common problem on the 04s... more often than not, my light is on also.
Do your lights seem to be aimed improperly? Or are you just getting a light?
I wouldn't spend the money to replace faulty senors even when the mechanisms are operating fine. just my stance though. Some people really hate any lights on their dash. Mine compliments my flashing TPMS light.

I had issues with my sensors... they were corroded pretty bad.
This caused my headlights to constantly want to aim down (which is scary when you're driving 70MPH and can only see 10ft in front of you).
At the beginning they would aim too high and everyone thought I had my brights on (to which I really turned them on to show them those were my lows).
My sensor was so corroded and couldn't just be "repair" so Mazda ordered me new sensors (luckily under warranty).
The TSB states that if the sensor isn't damaged, to seal with waterproof urethane sealer between the harness and the connector.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but is there a way to just remove the sensors and the dash warning light without having to remove the bulb? I could delete the light with my COBB, but I would rather not do it that way for now.
