Okay, here it goes;

I bought my 2004 Mazda Rx8 in November from a guy on craigslist. When I bought it, it would only run cold air, but my dad and I didn't think it would be too big of a problem. After searching this forum and finding the DIY: No Heat? thread, I ripped out the head unit and resoldered the three pins on the CC board (two of which had visibly bad connections). This fixed it, somewhat. It now only runs hot air, and the odd thing is, after administering the A/C TEMP Diagnostic test, we found that a full turn of the climate control wheel from full heat to full cool only covers the range of 16-13, not 16-0. Upon discovering this, we ordered and installed a new and tested climate control unit; the result was the same, no cool air, 16-13 on the A/C TEMP test.

My father and I are about out of options. You can hear/see the A/C kick on when the button is pressed, but no matter what, the unit will only go down to level 13.

Does anyone have knowledge on this problem?
