Rx8 helppppppppppp?!
Hi everyone, in a nutshell, I've had my Rx8 (2005 model) on a driveway for the last couple months until the winter weather cleared up. She's always started perfect, first time everytime, the last time i went a couple of days ago i started her up everything was running fine, however when i checked my oil level there was lil bits of grey/brownish stuff on the dipstick not much tho. I also took my oil cap off to have a look for this but there was no sign of it there its just on the dipstick. What is this stuff? Please help!
Plus its worth takin note that due to me being a away aswel for the past few months, when i started her last and found this problem, it was around 2months previous the engine got started. Could this be a factor?
I am certainly no mechanic, far from it infact! So please all answers n opinions welcome, and please use friendly car talk so I can kind of understand.
Thank you everyone for your time.

Welcome to the forum, it's clear you haven't really poked around here much yet:
A) Creating threads with such vague titles is heavily frowned on. Technically against the rules, but usually you will just get a poke from an admin for it
B) Moisture on the dipstick in cold weather is ridiculously common. It's literally as common as having wheels on the car. There is nothing to worry about.
C) Check out my New Owners thread. You may not be a new owner, but if the dipstick moisture is new to you, then you probably don't know many of the other common things about the 8. (https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-forum-197/new-potential-owners-start-here-202454/) One of the first bits in the thread is the best way to search the forum for answers to your questions.
Edit: Non-searching newbies typically receive a less than helpful response, as you can see above. I'm in a decent mood this morning.

There are a number of threads covering this... However I'm not going to post a reply just to say that....
I've had the same issue in the past and was very concerning the first time I saw it. But turns out it was only when I'd go a period of time without really getting on it. Also ran some "searches in here" for a little research.
I'd just take it on the highway and stretch her legs. But I think the engine just needs to get hotter. Get up in the rpms which should be done pretty much everytime you drive your car.
A phrase you'll need to remember or stamp into your steering wheel:
"A redline a day, keeps the carbon away."
Personally though, I'm more inclined to give it multiple redlines a day.
LOL, btw... I'm having my motor replaced at the dealership as we speak.
For what is believed to be unavoidable in my case. It's an 04 with the original plagued engine.
Which may support the phrase... considering I've kept it going for 8 yrs.
