RX8 mechanics NEED HELP on dying engine (Video)

Gaahhh.. I MISS MY CAR!!! Getting depressed. Need it running.

No mechanics rx8 mechanics on my island. (Island by the Iceland)
No where to turn or go except here.

78000km. New sparks. New cat.

Started with missfire at 5.5k-8k rpm, followed by engine knocking at idle, and then with the engine dying under high lode. AND NOW TO THIS.
Start takes about 10 sec. Oil leakage from the block....... Engine sounds terebly, missfire and what not. Codes that i get are p0300 and p0301

As i said i live on an island. Many trips has been short to work, to gym, home.. Takes about 10min a drive.. i think that might have cost this.

HELP ME i am dying to drive my 8 again.

My guess is engine failure caused by bad ignition components and shitty maintenance done by the previous owner.

I have always kept car in good condition, frequent oil changes tried my best to warm it up before shut off, did redlines every day i drove it, did all the changes, spark plugs, coils, spark wires, cleaned maf regulary. I dont know what has happed wrong other then many shut off and ons a day.

I am really desperate to get it running, at any cost. If there is any more information that anyone got please let me know!

Hmm sounds like you need a new motor buddy, any mechanic can always look at it and give you advise, but if they are not knowledgeable to any degree on rotary engines wouldn't risk it. being a technician myself you honestly need to start shopping for a engine.

Trouble is a regular mechanic might lead you down the wrong path unless he has worked on rotaries (succesfully) before. He's not going to tell you he doesn't know what to do, he'll recommend to throw parts at it. So, either find someone you trust or someone who has worked on rotaries.

It doesn't sound healthy at all, but there are things you can try for sanity's sake: are the coils connected to the correct sparkplugs? Are all the coils firing? Do a compression test.. if you can't find a rotary tester, there are things you can try with a regular compression tester, that will show if some rotor faces are significantly below spec. Also where is the oil dripping from?

Even if you need a new engine, it's not such a big deal. You replace it like any other part, it's just bigger and more expensive.

aaw man, well oil is dripping down at the front of an engine.. I went to the mechanic i trust and he said to me " i have no idea what that sound is and i suggest you go somewhere else" the answer i didnt want to hear. Well i think ill be getting a new engine. What it the best website to shop one wich will send it to iceland? Uk would be good not far away and can be sent by a ship so the shipping will not cost as much as airways.

Try haywards in the uk or Pettit.
However if the price you'd pay to ship the car and have your engine rebuilt is too high try contacting Mazmart. They may be able to ship you a remanufactured engine. At that point your mechanic would only have to remove the old one and reinstall the new one, job done.

Another option is to fly me over there, it wouldn't be cheap though
